A huge welcome to our new families and a welcome back to our existing BGP whānau. 

 This year the classes we have for 2025 are:

Rehua = Angela Griffith (New entrant / Y1)

Haumia = Tina Tuten (Y1/2)

Tāne Mahuta = Kim Provis (Term 1) (Y3/ Y4)

Uenuku = Pete Buchanan (Y4/ Y5)

Rūaumoko = Glenn Fordham (Y6/ Y7)

Tāwhaki = Salote Rouvi / Alex Gilmore (Y7/ Y8)

 School Office Open Hours

Our office will be from Wednesday 22 January, 9am to answer questions and help with new enrolments as well as school related purchases.

 Office hours: Wed 22 Jan – Fri 24 Jan 9.00am-2.30pm; Mon 27 Jan - Tues 28 Jan 9.00am-3.00pm

Office hours: Wed 29 Jan onwards 8.30am – 3.10pm.

 School Stationery

Stationery is sold in box sets for each individual.  Each box of stationery will see your child to the end of the year, so this is a one of cost.  The 3 classes in the Kākano team will also have a separate reading Log as part of their stationery.

Rehua $25 = Stationery + Reading Log

Haumia $16 = Stationery 

Tāne Mahuta $17 = Stationery

Uenuku $17= Stationery 

Rūaumoko $20 = Stationery

Tāwhaki $20 = Stationery

 Book Bags for new entrants and any junior / middle students who need one are an additional cost $5.50.

 First Day of Term = Wednesday 29 January 2025

Existing Students = 9am start.  School open from 8.20am.  Please make your way to your 2025 class.  Whānau are invited to participate in our mihi whakatau at 9.30am, sitting on the Tangata Whenua side.

New 2025 Students = 9.15am start.   Please make your way to the office / foyer area.  Children are welcome earlier but will be held at the office area until our mihi whakatau, which will begin at 9.30am.  The Principal will come out at 9.20am to welcome everyone and explain the Mihi Whakatau process. Parents / caregivers are welcome to stay on at the end.

Uniform Items for Sale

We have a number of second-hand uniform items which are available for sale from Wednesday 22 January.   We also have end of stock - new school shirts - which we are selling cheaper than store price but have limited sizes.
